The cartoon, "There's a Fufanu in My Collar Too!" is a mini-musical about a woman who has purchased a fur-trimmed coat and purse. A creature called the Fufanu emerges from her collar, to sing and convince the woman that wearing fur is inhumane. In the end, she announces, "My choice for fashion is compassion...They need it more than we do." "This film is a desperate attempt by animal rightists to demonize those who choose to wear fur," said Bud Pidgeon, U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance president. "The creators of this film, which is full of sensationalism and inaccuracies, are the same ones who want to end the use of animals for scientific research, agriculture and all other animal uses." The Fund's campaign is running at the same time as an anti-fur message from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). PETA is preparing to distribute fliers that read, "Your Mommy Kills Animals." The campaign is intended to terrorize young children whose mothers wear fur.
