The Township Committee hearing is scheduled for Monday, September 22 at 7:00 PM at the Princeton Township Municipal Building, 400 Witherspoon Street in Princeton, New Jersey. Sportsmen attendance is vital so our voice is heard in favor of the hunt. This year, the New Jersey Fish and Game Council approved Princeton's community-based deer management plan, utilizing sharp shooters and other methods, on the condition that the township create more opportunities for bowhunting. Take Action! New Jersey sportsmen and sportswomen should attend the Township Committee hearing and explain that archery and bowhunting are very safe sports. The International Hunter Education Association reports only five incidents and one fatality out of nearly 3.1 million bowhunters in 2001. Tell the council that bowhunting is an important management tool that is approved and utilized by every wildlife agency in the country including the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife.
