Senate Bill 5831 repeals all sections in Initiative Measure 713, a voter initiative that banned trapping in 2000. Damage problems from moles, coyotes and other animals have forced legislators to consider repealing the initiative. Also driving the legislation is the recent public disclosure of the deceptive information campaign used by animal rights groups during the 2000 issue. Sportsmen should be aware that the anti’s are pulling out all the stops to kill this bill. They have been flooding the capital with calls opposing the bill. Only Washington sportsmen can save the day by contacting their state representative and asking them to vote YES on Senate Bill 5831. Washington sportsmen should take action now! This bill is on the fast track, and could be voted on at any time. Make your call today and let your state representative know you support Senate Bill 5831. Call (800) 562-6000 to reach your representative. CopyrightÓ U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance- www.ussportsmen.org
