Oregon anti-trapping bill dies as legislative session ends (10/17/2001)

Oregon-

An anti-trapping bill in the Oregon Senate did not make it though the legislature.

Senate Bill 460, sponsored by the Committee on Rules and Redistricting would have banned the use of steel-jawed leghold traps or other body-gripping traps to take mammals with commercial fur value. The legislature adjourned in July and the bill will not carry over into the next legislative session.
